Question 1

Which source pages can Rooktrace monitor?

Accepted Answer

The supported categories are public competitor pricing, product, and changelog pages.

Question 2

How often are active sources checked?

Accepted Answer

Choose a daily or weekly scheduled check for each active source.

Question 3

How does Rooktrace verify a detected change?

Accepted Answer

After a check captures a difference, Rooktrace reads the source again. The change is confirmed only when the follow-up matches the changed capture; otherwise it remains unverified.

Question 4

What evidence is kept for a verified change?

Accepted Answer

A verified change links the before snapshot, the changed snapshot, and the follow-up snapshot. Each records when it was fetched and the captured page text; a capture may be marked truncated.
